Last week I planned FHE with the idea of actually giving it. But come yesterday afternoon, I realized that I was completely unprepared. Those 'last minute things' that always happen ended up being things that were completely impossible to do with only a few hours left to prepare. Ugh. So, we decided to trapse down to the beach to enjoy time together as a family.
It was really fun! Previous times we've gone we've done the swimming thing but it was late and I didn't want to stay that long. So we decided to just comb the beach for pretty shells. Well, Matt and I did. Emmaline and Lottie picked up every piece of garbage they could find!
We took a few fun picutres but my favorite part of the experience was trying to get a family picture. Matt set the camera up on the sand, set the timer, and then ran back to the girls and I. The first time he did that, we got some really cute pictures, but the were fuzzy. I then realized that the girls must have touched the lens. So we cleaned it and tried again. The second time, the camera fell a bit and we mostly got pictures of the sky. The third try was fairly nice placement but by then the kids were tired of saying "Cheese"!
I'm posting my two favorite, even though one is fuzzy and the other we aren't all looking. I just love the pictures because we are all so happy. And I think I'm going to remember this outing for a while. Overall, it was a really good FHE.
